Frequently asked questions

  • What is StoveOps?

StoveOps is an operations platform for restaurants and bars. Today you run a live virtual waitlist, a QR digital menu and a guest links page — all sharing one guest history.

Everything runs in the browser on the phone or tablet you already have, so there’s nothing new to install.

  • What kind of venue is StoveOps for?

Restaurants, bars and cafés — from a single room to small multi-location groups — especially teams still running the waitlist on paper, a clipboard or scattered apps.

It fits independent venues and small groups, not only large chains.

  • Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests join the waitlist from their own phone through a link or a QR code at the door — no app to install and no account to create.

Anyone with a phone browser can join, which keeps the line moving and the doorway clear.

  • How are guests notified?

By email, SMS, WhatsApp and browser push — for example when they join the queue, when their table is almost ready, and when it's time to come back.

Email is unlimited on every plan; SMS and WhatsApp use your plan’s monthly allowance, and guests confirm with one tap.

  • Does StoveOps help reduce no-shows?

Yes. Guests get timely updates, confirm their spot with one tap, and visit history flags repeat no-shows — so fewer tables sit empty during a full service.

Over time you can see who reliably shows up and plan a busy service around it.

  • Can I start with just the waitlist?

Yes. Every module works on its own. Most venues start with the live waitlist and switch on the digital menu or links page later — no migration needed.

Start with the one problem that hurts most today; the rest is there when you’re ready.

  • Do I need to replace my POS?

No. StoveOps runs alongside the checkout system you already use — it doesn't replace it and doesn't handle payments. It can also run on its own.

It manages your front-of-house flow while your checkout system keeps ringing up payments — no new hardware, no migration.

  • Does it work for more than one location?

Yes. Professional covers up to 3 locations and Business up to 10, with guest history, team roles and reporting in one account.

Each location runs its own service, but managers see the whole group from a single login.

  • Is it hard to learn, and how many people can use it?

No. It's simple enough that most teams run it the same night with no long training, and your whole team can use it at the same time — each from whatever device they have, whether a phone, tablet or computer.

Access is role-based, so managers, hosts and the front desk each see only what they need, and several people can work at once during a busy service.

  • How does the team sign in during service?

With a magic link sent to their email — one tap, no passwords to type or reset mid-rush — and access is role-based, so the front desk and managers each see what they need.

No sticky-note passwords on shared devices, and you decide who can change settings.

  • How much does StoveOps cost?

Three self-serve plans with monthly or annual billing. Monthly starts at $49, and annual saves 20% with Basic at $39/month when billed yearly.

You start on the trial and move up only when your locations or messaging actually grow.

  • Is my guest data private and secure?

Yes. Your guest data is yours and we don't sell it. It stays isolated to your account, sensitive personal details are cleared automatically on a schedule, and every access is logged.

It’s built around modern privacy regulations — like the GDPR, Brazil’s LGPD and Quebec’s Law 25 — and you stay in control of what’s kept and for how long.

  • What if the monthly SMS allowance runs out?

Nothing breaks. Notifications fall back to WhatsApp, email and browser push automatically, and the front desk is alerted to call the guest if a message really needs to land.

Email is unlimited on every plan, so running out of SMS usually just means it’s time to size up a plan.

  • Why don't you ask for a credit card up front?

Because you should see it work first. You start a 7-day trial with no credit card and no sales call — you only add payment if the waitlist proves itself on a real service.

Decide after a real busy night, not before.

  • Can I cancel anytime, and what happens to my data?

Yes, you can cancel anytime — there's no lock-in contract. Your guest data stays yours, so you can export it or ask for it to be deleted.
